America’s Heartland

"Decades ago, the majority of Americans were either farmers themselves or living near agricultural production. Today, millions of Americans have moved away from rural areas and have lost the connection to the sources of their food, fuel and fiber. Common Ground

We’re a group of North Dakota farm women working to help dispel myths and build trust in farm families again.”

"4-H is the nation’s largest youth development and empowerment organization, reaching more than 6 million 4-H youth in urban neighborhoods, suburban schoolyards and rural farming communities. Fueled by university-backed curriculum and our nation's Cooperative Extension System, 4-H'ers engage in hands-on learning activities in the areas of science, healthy living, and food security."
